MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel .
Mr George said "a variety of small businesses in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of market going it does require simply a little bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a mix of conventional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
